What gameplay mechanic would you add to the next Pokemon?

More stones like "Evolite" that make lesser used mons competitively viable
Also a "gambit" command added to all non-legendary, unevolved Pokemon. (Like Farfetch'd) Basically it allows you total invulnerability for a turn but then that Pokemon faints the next turn.
Also you can only use this once per match. I think it would work.

If the last remaining Pokemon on your team isn't carrying any held items, it will gain access to its "BREAK" form- where it turns gold and its stats automatically mirror the opponents stats.

Also, more reverse/or type-related battles. Like, no weaknesses/resistances maybe.

this would be broken af in competitive. imagine predicting a switch and using that. maybe not broken as a new attack, but as just a command it'd be too good to pass up. but then again, your opponent could predict the wait and attack that turn. interesting....

Dating.
You can make calls and go on dates with opposite gender trainers and build happiness. If you defeat gym leaders/elite four members enough times you can romance them as well. You can't date your own Pokemon though.

Substitution battles
