there are two types of seals, eared and true seals. while they appear different they are both seals. what you should be saying is, popplio is an eared seal, but i don't know why it's such a big deal.

Yeah I admit I admit I kinda made this thread without fully knowing what I was talking about. I know sea lions and seals are different but IS it a case of "all sea lions are seals but not all seals are sea lions," or something?

Because sea lions and seals do have their differences and it might impact greatly on how his final evolution might look.
For instance, people would probably prefer it if Popplio's evolutions were more elegant, but since it is a sea lion, that's less of a chance now since that's usually more reserved for seals. That doesn't mean sea lions aren't elegant, but that seems more exclusive to the female's slender body compared to the male's much larger body.
Seals are also notoriously shy, compared to actual sea lions who are extremely playful, who are indeed used for entertainment and learning tricks.
Sea lions also have great upper body strength,so don't be surprised if little Popplio here does indeed turn into a bulky Fighting type.

True. It's common sense too and even if you aren't very aware of it, there's always Google.
I just don't want people to come off having the wrong idea on why, whether a final evolution ends up being revealed or not, is not as elegant as it should be, because there's always the chance of it happening.
