I use raticate because people don't expect much from him. Guts + facade is pretty good. Sucker punch when someone is faster, protect for the burn to activate and swords dance if I get the chance. He managed to kill 4-6 ubers in showdown and nearly killed the 5th. That's pretty much the reason why I love to have him in my team.
I know he isn't really perfect, so what do you consider a good alternative that will make my team "flawless"?

Thanks! The team I used had it's ups and downs but defeating Lance with only 4 HP left on Mamoswine felt amazing. Also sadly, dusk stone isn't available until after I got the National Dex so I couldn't evolve Murkrow. I'm working to get it ASAP.

That's pretty cool! I couldn't really tell you off the top of my head a good alt, I was mostly talking from a design standpoint...and maybe the fact that a patch of grass filled with ones just like him was my main grinding spot to train for the E4 so I'm just sick of them.
