Like seriously, they've allowed fairy types that aren't slurpuff and aromatise to exist. We've got a basis that it doesn't necessarily have to be totally cute to be fairy. And even if it does, that still doesn't necessarily stop them from making a cute fairy mon based on a creature from myth and folklore.

How is that a bad thing? Like seriously, goblins in fantasy settings can be played for comic relief really easily, so a cute/silly fairy/poison goblin works perfectly. And a fairy/ground or fairy/fighting minotaur sounds like it would work just fine. I could totally see them doing something like that.

It gave us twice as many dragons as we already had, gave us a shitload of dark types and gave plenty of steel types, all in one Pokedex.
