Soaring > Roller Skates

Mystery islands were barren that appear at random, at least with safaris you could get the ones with pokemon you are interested about

And Delta episode was shit. Zinnia made it worse. Both Soaring and skates were useless when you can already fly or use a bike though.

True. Also, Lumiose is way better than New Mauville (the redesigned city, not the location). Grinding in the poorfag restaurant was not nice. Those are the only two things I can think of in terms of XY being better than ORAS.
