mono Platinum playthrough

Hey /vp/, I was wondering what a good team would be for a mono type playthrough in Platinum version.
I have played through Platinum so many times and I feel like I have used almost every possible good team that doesn't involve trading, but I have never attempted a mono run.
I don't care what type it is as long as I can get through the game with it.
If you could help me out, I would greatly appreciate it. You guys are the experts.

depending on whether or not the evo requires an item, I do have access to trading. I have two Platinum versions, one which I have like 250 hours played in that I will never restart, and another that I restart all the time. and I have like four DS systems so trading would be pretty easy.
that sounds like a pretty solid team, and I rarely use Torterra as a starter so that could be cool. I also really like Garchomp, and I haven't used the others but they seem pretty great.
