I have this one crazy prediction that might be plausible.
Porygon was first introduced in Gen 1. It was an odd Pokémon that had a lot to do with computers and shit.
Then comes along Gen 2 and Porygon-2 is introduced, and it isn't till Gen 4 we see another evolution into Porygon-Z.
The pattern I see, which may just be a coincidence, is that Porygon's evolution line is based on the binary numeral system (1, 2, 4, 8, 16, ...) and we wont see a Porygon mega-evolution until Gen 8.
Skarmory, all I want. Would be surprised if Lunatine/Solrock don't get Megas.

I predict a possible Mega Evolution for Leavanny.
I think Gamefreak is entirely aware of their waifumons, and designs like Lopunny were created specifically to draw in the crowd they won over by accident with Gardevoir.
Mega Gardevoir being put into a wedding dress, and Mega Lopunny being a cardio bunny in a sports bra felt all too intentional. I figure Leavanny and eventually Florges will get similar treatment.

I'm not really seeing it for the regular Gardevoir. Colors aside, it still looks much more like a wedding dress with gloves to me. It's very "innocent."
Although I was curious as to why the Shiny was black for seemingly no reason. Perhaps the Shiny is meant as a funeral gown as a humorous counterpart to the wedding dress. A widow?
In retrospect, I also realized that Leavanny may not be the intended waifumon of Gen V. A bug never seemed like an ideal design for a waifumon to me, and I feel like Gamefreak really wanted Audino to be popular in some way I can't understand. It also already has a Mega.
I'd still like to see Leavanny in a stuffy Victorian dress with petticoat.

Wedding dresses typically have no gloves though.
Like, I feel the Normal Gardevoir is in a wedding dress but the Mega is in a funeral gown because of the gloves. That's just me however. The shiny definitely feels more appropriate for thinking it's a funeral gown though, so I can see your perspective too.
