May I ask why are you mad that a game has a story?
>>26464581
>May being cute
What IS the game's story? Seriously, what exactly is the premise you're supposed to be working for? This board seems to be convinced the only goal that is real is the first one you're ever given: to fill the dex. You only get the credits if you beat the Champion, though. Everything else is irrelevant.

Pretty much this. I don't mind if there is not a story in a pokemon game. I value much more gameplay features/mechanics and new diverse pokemon.
>people defending BW's story which consists entirely of "Team Plasma is up to no good in this town, go defeat them with the help of the local gym leader before challenging him/her for the badge, rinse and repeat until the league" plus Cheren and Bianca bugging you every five minutes and two or three actually decent moments with N
>It's a Team Rocket episodeAnd I'm not referring to the anime.

You clearly didn't play Black and White. Elesa and Clay are the only ones that ever interact with you outside of the gym before the League is taken hostage.
>>26468111
Well, the only virtue of BW was that the villain plot was more integrated into the task that actually has you see the credits. I will argue, however, that this integration was still forced. You are simply doing what you were going to do anyway. You could take the villains out of the matter and change nothing, other than the matter the villain was actually the final boss rather than the champion. All that really did was add an extra phase to the final boss, it changes nothing else about why you're here.

And Lenora who goes outside the gym into the museum when TP steals the dragon skull, and Burgh, and Iris (in Castelia). Only Skyla and Brycen aren't around before their gyms.
