So many problems, as a biologist this is making me incandescent with rage.

Even from a pokemon perspective there aree glaring errors. For example why in the name of sanity would you put the so called lunar duo as an of shoot of the pokemon representing time and not the one the other side of it representing space. If I had any drawing skill at all and no job I'd be designing a real version of this shit right now to replace this tawdry misinformed garbage.

Regarding the first one: I'm pretty fucking lost on the apparent connection between Exeggscute/Exeggutor and Chansey anywhere beyond the egg thing, or really Chansey's placement in Plantiforma at all.

Chansey doesn't exactly strike me as a plant-based creature.

Also, is anyone else unsure of where moles branching off from simians comes from? Because I sure fucking am. What the fuck.

D-did he just have horses and bulls branch off from foxes? For real?

Sorry, OP. Your interesting thing kind of sucks eggs.

Feel free to tear me to shreds for my incompetence, but I just don't see where the maker made any of these connections rationally.

Crocodiles arent directly under dinosaures.
Bird branching of before dinosaures instead of brancinging of from grovyle.
Snakes not branching of from lizards.
Grovyle line is more raptor than gecko.
Slaking line is more sloth than ape.
Abra is a fox.

...am I? Isn't that Hypno branching off into Magmar and Electabuzz, though, the latter of which then becomes Primeape, which would mean the next latter would be becoming Dugtrio?

>>26456855
Mightyena is a hyena, which means it is more related to cats than dogs. Look it up.
>>
>>26456855
clearly a HYENA, which is technically more feline then canine
>>
>>26456878
>Hyenas are not members of the dog or cat families. Instead, they are so unique that they have a family all their own, Hyaenidae. There are four members of the Hyaenidae family: the striped hyena, the “giggly” spotted hyena, the brown hyena, and the aardwolf (it's a hyena, not a wolf).

Not that guy butI feel they are more Canine to be honest
>>
>>26456913
Phylogenetically, they are feliformes. They're not cats, but they're closer to them than dogs.
>>
>>26456942
I stand corrected, thanks anon
>>
>>26456949
For the sake of completion and to dispel doubts about why they seem more canine:

>Although phylogenetically they are closer to felines and viverrids, hyenas are behaviourally and morphologically similar to canines in several aspects; both hyenas and canines are nonarboreal, cursorial hunters that catch prey with their teeth rather than claws. Both eat food quickly and may store it, and their calloused feet with large, blunt, nonretractable nails are adapted for running and making sharp turns. However, the hyenas' grooming, scent marking, defecating habits, mating, and parental behaviour are consistent with the behaviour of other feliforms.

From Wikipedia.

>>26456469
>this is actually really interesting
Yes, and retarded.
>seel somewhere between pisces and amphibia and not in mammalia
>>
>>26456957
Weird, hunting behaviour seems canine but social behavior which is the "default" state is feline. Makes sense after all. The more you know

They're all the same species with different phenotypes. They have highly variable, radioactive dna that allows them to "evolve" rapidly.

Reason: Pokémon, themselves.

>>26456469
No, its really not.
>>
>>26462595
I don't think any pokemon has enough power to make anyone THIS autistic.
>>
Think about this- Oak has you out cataloguing pokemon and making field notes.
>The pokedex scans things you catch and records actual info and lets kids make descriptions which are later curated and revised.
Magcargo's entry says it is hotter than the surface of the sun. That sounds like something a kid would extrapolate.
>The pokedex is written by 10-year-olds and revised by adults. It's a massive biology study coupled with a social experiment carried out by all these professors into how kids see the world, and they get free research slaves out of it too.
