Save your money and pirate. Every game is playable via piracy, though Gen VI requires you to hack your 3DS (which is easy and depending on your firmware version possibly free).

Not sure why you'd want to play Gen VI though.

If you're just asking for recommendations in general, play a PMD game if you haven't already played them all.
