I've been breeding a bit with foreign Pokemon, not specifically for MM purposes, but still, a shiny would be nice. I'm about 50 eggs in with Pawniard eggs, so I've only just begun. My shortest MM was 1 egg. An unintentional Goldeen. And you bet I have my Shiny charm.

It's been a while since I've shiny hunted something. I used to post in /shw/ back in the days and managed to hatch a 5IV shiny zangoose missing speed. I wish I could have a female ha zangoose in a sub ball. Unfortunately you can only get it in those hidden areas in B2W2 with a stupid spawn chance.

I tend to go for more obvious shinies (like Feebas and Mawile) so I don't accidentally miss it since I'm paranoid

You can sometimes find one with the HA in hordes in XY. It'd be much easier in X because there's four zangoose and one seviper.
Finally hatched that female Ralts I was going for a few threads back. Took me 654 eggs. Was going at a slow pace, hatching 50 or 75 a day, while watching hockey.

Reminds me of when I hatched a shiny Phanpy. About thirty eggs in, I stared at one for a bit because it seemed a bit different.
Is it better to MM with a 5IV parent (with the desired spread) and a 6IV parent or 2 6IV parents?
Which gives me the higher chance of getting the desired 5IV spread?
I checked the Destiny Knot calc thing and it said both give me the same chances, I just wanted a second source

They're the same chance for a 5IV spread, but if you're breeding a special attacker or a mixed attacker which are ideal with a 6IV spread, two 6IV parents are better.

About 2 threads ago, someone told me I should be using a M-Pinsir with False Swipe. I have a Gallade with the same with T-Wave, a Smeargle with Spore, and a physically-defensive Drapion to take hits so I wouldn't have to keep healing/reviving Smeargle. Going with the Ultra Ball for balltism.

I've been considering a Smeargle set of False Swipe/Yawn/Odor Sleuth, which lets me hit and put to sleep everything I meet.
But what should I do for a 4th move? I've considered Mean Look (or whichever move it is that prevents escape) or maybe Follow Me (to keep, for instance, the one shiny Zangoose in a horde of Seviper alive), but I'm not sure.
