Does it involve changing the date? If so, cbf.
>>
>>26442918
Yeah. It works best right after whenever you set to midnight, and takes more than 10 hours to grind enough picrites to unlock everything. Even at the fastest possible rate of grinding it's still a chore, so I don't blame you. Enjoy waiting several more months just to beat the game though.

You know cbf means "can't be fucked" right? Not "please explain it" which would result in an entirely different acronym.

How much does a skill up cookie raise a skill? By a fraction like a personalised booster? Or by an entire level like a level up candy?
>>
>>26443740
"Each skill has a different amount of exp it needs to level up, yet unfortunately such information has yet to be datamined. What is known though is that powerful, popular skills require more boosters to level up, while lower tier skills require less. The variance isn't too extreme, and can be estimated as:

Level 1->2: 1-2 Small, 1 Medium
Level 2->3: 6-10 Small, 2-3 Medium, 1 Large (Yes, a single Large bumps you from level 1 to 3)
Level 3->4: 14-18 Small, 4-6 Medium, 2 Large
Level 4->5: 16-20 Small, 5-7 Medium, 2 Large

Large Skill Boosters have ridiculous efficiency, giving you a full level--or close to it--of basically any skill in the game.
...
[Personalized Skill Boosters] appear to be half as powerful as a Small Skill Booster, with the positive caveat that these are indefinitely farmable...so long as you have the coins to keep paying the stage fee."
>>
>>26443833
Cool. Thanks.
>>
>>26443740
I gabe a large one to angry-chu and it raised its skill on level 4. Two more and it was max
>>
>>26444062
I don't entirely follow. You gave 1 cookie to Angryvhu and it raised the skill level from level 1 to level 4? And from there, it would take two cookies to raise it to level 5?
If so, that's a pretty huge jump. Might do the same, seeing as I doubt he'll get personalised boosters any time soon.
>>
>>26444392
yes. But it was a larg cookie. not small and not medium.
Charizard for example "only" went to level 3 with one large one. For level 4 it needed another one or two (dont know anymore) and for max two more

tl;dr: different pokemon need different amount of skill exp to raise the skill level. Might be related to base power or smth else
>>
So in case anyone wanted to know the (likely repeat) daily Pokemon today:

Seviper
Poison
60 BP
Eject

Pretty basic but easy to catch. Mega Slowbro is good for this level.

Just started leveling Groudon's last skill level and I'm back to 25k coins. I think I'll just keep saving again for these last hours until Ashninja comes out. If I have any time left after finishing it, I'll go back to Groudon (if he's still available).

Also, since we'll get two skill-up stages at once for the next weeks, can we expect them to be easier to finish than Groudon? Not talking about the stages itself, but about the booster drop rates.

A LIV
>>
>>26453778
Charizard: Yes, for Pyre Teams, plus if you get can get him to burn an opponent and then Pyre, even better. Probably highest priority for type advantages.
Groudon: Get him max level and get his skill upto level 3 and he can be very useful. Second priority for type advantages, though half are better with a Charizard Pyre team.
Blastoise/Kyogre: Could be useful, essentially the same except Blastoise's ability is better but activates less, and he can megavolve. Pick whichever one you'd use more and only do the other if you have the candies. I'd choose Blastoise personally. People might object saying Kyogre is going to get a primal version that will make him redundant but the thing is you could always just use both
Altaria: I wouldn't prioritise it, not many type advantages. If you have the candy.
Azumarill: Lowest priority. Crappy ability, no at lot of type advantages. Maybe in a Pixies Power team, but there are probably better mons for that.

One you haven't considered
Espeon: Not a high priority but Megaboost could be very helpful in megavolving Mewtwo without shelling out coins. Unown-! has the Megaboost+ which is better, but his attack caps at 70 and that 70-95 boost could make all the difference. Is say put about fourth priority, after Blastoise's/Kyogre.
>>
>>26453778
>>26454016
I will also point out that Charizard's RMLs apply to both Megas, making it that much better of an investment.

OK, so I'm new and I'm wondering how the hell purchase points work. (I play mobile.) The game says I have a balance of 1000 purchase points, which are reset at the end of the month. Can I spend the points INSTEAD of money to get jewels, or do I spend them ALONG WITH money?

Also, can I use Google Play credit to make purchases?
>>
>>26454968
Granted, I haven't used MCX in stages with rocks/blocks/barriers to see how he would fare, but I've been using him in Ampharos when training and he results in some great combos, I wouldn't say his pattern is shit at all.

Every purchase you make with your IRL money takes away from a bank of points. That means that you can only spend a certain amount of money per month. They're not actual points for you to use. Also,

>>26456082
OK, that tells me everything I need to know. I suspected that getting 1000 points of free jewels per month would be too good to be true.

On the other hand, I may spend a few bucks worth of Google Opinion Rewards credit on it every now and then, when I have nothing better to do with it. (Assuming the store draws money from my Google Play account instead of straight from my credit card, of course.)

Three personal skill boosts required for Kyogre, earned over 10 tries.

I literally wasted coins for 15 runs and got none single skill booster. Team was M-fug, Zekrom, Virizion and Sceptile. I am able to constantly beat it itemless since I never/once/twice drop the combo
>>
>>26458070
I don't think triggering abilities has anything to do with the booster drops. At least not in this stage.
>>
we HAVE to be missing some pattern, right?

>>
Just so y'all know, I managed to get Magmortar's ability to activate on a 4x3 cross match, so it looks like it's not strictly limited to a 3x3 +

That was kinda obvious after checking Electivire's ability.

That also makes +-Boost better than T-Boost, with both being better than L-Boost.

This mechanic exists to keep the highest-playing Shuffle addicts in the game, that's why it costs coins (since to them, they're grinding to keep coins at max all the time anyway, so this is a respite between inevitable Meowth runs). If anything, it's a signal that content may slow down a bit, as they focus on minmaxing various event Pokemon to keep the top players interested, while giving new players chances to catch up with event Pokemon catches, and the long slog of getting through the main stages.

>>
I'm new to Shuffle, if I start playing now will I have missed out on any mega stones? Is it too late to start this game?
>>
I had moderate success bringing a maxed angrychhu against Greninja, setting up combos of 5 in quick succession guarantees a few sbolt activations, and I don't need many to wreck him with it
Problem is that it isn't very reliable, sometimes I'll win with 30 seconds left because all of them activated and sometimes none of them do and I die with greninja with more than half it's health left
>>
>>26463140
>will I have missed out on any mega stones
Yes, they have only released 2/3 of all mega stones so far, and out of those, half are event-only and will probably be unobtainable for months.

But most of the good megas can be obtained in the main stages anyway, so it doesn't matter that much.
>>
>>26463140
You're good, most of the competition megastones aren't vital to the main stages except maybe Mega Garchomp and Charzard Y. Just make sure you get Lucarionite from the Mission Card as soon as you can.
>>
>>26463322
3/4 of all mega stones have been released, not 2/3.
>>
>>26461157
Honestly I might just not both with personalised skill boosters at all. I don't like grinding Meowth so I need to save my money...

I was just about to say "It's not like I'll be at a huge disappointment" but the I realised people with boosted mons are gonna floor me in competitions. Fuck.
>>
Groudon and Kyogre are at skill level 4.
Ash-Greninja is at 3.

This was expensive, I think 90k total. Greninja especially was a huge pain, his level ups take too many boosters.

How are you all doing, how far do you want to go? I think I'm gonna stop now and just grind Meowth back up for the rest of the week.

Goes from 3× to 3.3×, 3.6×, 3.9× and finally 4.5× for the highest skill level.

Though if you put it in perspective, it's only about 400 points for Ashnigger on an SE stage. Combos and skyfall are far more important for final scores, esp. in competitions.

>>
>>26470410
Look at the abilities pastebin, only Poison, Ice and Ground get Pyre-like abilities for now (with worse activation rates, but better than e.g. Pummel).

The paste also shows whether Skill Boosters raise activation or damage.
>>
>>26470390
>>26470410
When Rock Break activates, Kyogre's damage alone gets boosted.
If you level up the skill once, it's 50% more damage, if you level it up all the way, it does twice the damage.
Not complicated.

By skills you mean abilities, right? Like Power of 4, Crowd Control etc?

Any consensus on best boosted skills?
>>
>>26473286
There's only been one booster available so far.
I personally chose to give it to Darkrai, since Sleep Charm is really useful when it triggers.
>>
>>26473318
That booster increased Sleep Charm's activation chance from 5%, 30%, 80% to 15%, 40%, 90%, which isn't too shabby.
>>
>>26473286

Crowd Control at maximum is identical to old Crowd Control (60/100/100).

Sleep Charm is hella good, though I recommend Shaymin over Darkrai because there are a lot of water types left to be released.

Combo boosters like Pyre can be good, if you like those.

Stabilize+ is pretty cool too.

For unreleased abilities, I think there are cases to be made for Goad, Alchemist, Stabilize++, and Nosedive.

I'm a different guy from him. PO4+ is not unreliable in the slightest, I've lost maybe ten matches out of hundreds due to it not activating at the end. Throwing in a Fighting just to secure it is a waste of EXP and ends up being way riskier.

If you need the points to finish, it fucks you over. You shouldn't care much about XP, those 8 or 16 points are chump change. Had you spent those ten plays you lost on Ampharos, you would have gained 2500 XP for your team.

Meowth is for grinding coins only, those few XP are just a small bonus.

(My regular team is Duskull, Sawk, 2 filler)

My regular team is literally anything I need to give EXP to that's 80BP or above that's non-fighting and I've never had problems with it, and even with this team I constantly risk overkilling. The 20% has barely fucked me over and the 80% activation has helped me out way more instead. Hell, right now I'm running Thundurus, Greninjash, Landorus(Risk taker one), and Walrein.

It's just because he was higher leveled and I wanted to know if he was worth training.

Any chance they'll release the Red and Blue Orb for primal forms?
>>
>>26498196
Doubtable. However, they'll release the Primals as their own icons like they did with Perfect Zygarde, both at 90 BP with access to RMLs and Power of 4+ :^)
