Because even though we had so many pokemon with similar resemblances, not even ONE is actually based on a legitimate clown.

Yeah some dude showed up saying he found them on imgur. But it was only Ballio and Owltair. Somme time later that day, can't remember how long, the Litten evo came out and I can assure you it is undeniably cannon.
There's some room to believe. Far more room to deny. But man I love all three and Ballio made me warm up to Popplio. I'll accept whatever final evolution he has. I pray I don't eat those words.

At this point, most of his implied evos are either extravagant or elegant, but I just ain't into those. And I mostly hate fakemons, very few managed to grab my attention. Ballio seems to be the only one that doesn't try too hard to be elegant or tries its best into being only a strongman. He's kind of in between being both a clown and a strongman, but doesn't seem all that rough either in order to not be elegant, just silly. It's usually hard to pull off a balance like that, no matter how little sense it makes.
