If you combined all of your playtime on every mainline pokemon game throughout your entire life, how many hours/days do you think it would amount to?
For me I think it would be 1,000+ days, back when I was young I played my favorites over and over and over all day and I could beat most of the games in less than 15 hours, depending on whether or not I was taking my time and which game it was. (everything after Diamond/Pearl has taken significantly longer to beat the story).
It's only in the last few years that I have cooled down to a pace of doing full playthroughs probably less than 20 times a year (this doesn't include post-game content though).

More than 2000 hours probably. I spend 300 hours on one game from each generation and complete the main game on the counter part. Haven't bought both versions for this past generation, however.

I've easily spent a year of my life playing Pokémon. Probably significantly more. In 5th grade I put my Sapphire version at 999:99 and still kept playing it for years afterwards.
