Pikachus okay. But I wish Eevee was the mascot instead. Being an embodiment of evolution seems more worthy than just a generic electric type. Why be cute and worthless when Eevee is also cute and can be useful as well?

Eevee did get considerably more popular over the years. They started releasing tons of Eevee merchandise and I think had some segments/specials in the anime or something that was just a pure Eevee-themed one. (it was something about Eevee and the Eeveelutions. I can't remember it too well.)Not to be a total hipster or anything, but I don't want Eevee to be as popular as Pikachu. Eevee would never be special and just be another symbol people use to identify Pokemon fans with shit/boring/overdone taste.
