It was probably a Bug/Rock type before they modified it. I want to see the primordial bug that lays dormant underneath the cold iron.

It's too bad they came up with this after they established Mega Aerodactyl is how Aerodacty looked in prehistoric times
There's a ton of gameplay/lore conflict problems with giving genesect primal reversion. A shit ton of its moves (mostly TMs) it learns specifically because of its cannon which its primal form doesn't have.
>thunderbolt
>ice beam
>flamethrower
>flash cannon
>techno blast

The dex says they *modified/upgraded* the cannon on its back, so it could still have had that cannon in its original state, albeit weaker.
I suppose it doesn't make sense for it to gain stat points since the genesect of today is supposed to be an upgrade, but maybe the primal form could be a physical attacker.

Primal Reversion is a form given to Pokémon who venture into the depths of the planet's core and absorbs an enormous amount of the natural energy that flows within. It has nothing to do with the Pokémon itself being "primal". Did you not play ORAS at all?
This could be another cool one.
"Long ago, its entire back was shielded with a sturdy shell. There are traces of it left in its cells."
I dunno why it doesn't get Regenerator since the dex says its body parts grow back, but a shelled, defensive primal form with that ability could turn out rather neato.

If you payed attention to all the lore they threw out in oras then I commend you. For me it was like sitting through the most boring History class

I love game lore, so I appreciated the immense amount ORAS threw at me.
If any Pokémon would be a Primal Reversion candidate, I say it would be Heatran, one of the only Pokémon known to venture deep into the Earth's depths. But I don't see why GF would make another Fire type Primal, so I doubt we'll ever get another outside of the Weather Trio.

Genesect is love. Genesect is life.

Arceus.

They're already primal, they have the same little glowy bits that Groudon/Kyogre get.

is that supposed to be a bad thing

Don't listen to Dialga, dat niggas a liar.
>>26422033
Primals are exclusive to Kyogre and Groudon. No other Pokemon will get a Primal.

Dark Dialga
Yanmega, Mamoswine, and Tangrowth can be considered "Primal Reversions" because they evolve to what these Pokemon would look like in the past

>since the genesect of today is supposed to be an upgrade
Mega Aerodactyl implied that a large chunk of the original form and power is lost in the fossilization process. The same is probably true for the Genesect that was modified.
Fossil Genesect (No upgrades or original power) <<POWER GAP<< True Genesect and Modified Genesect <<POWER GAP<< "Primal Genesect" (Original power+Tech upgrades)

yes, if you didn't then that makes you a gen V fag which are the worst cancer on this board

>dark dialga
>when the game explicitly calls it Primal Dialga
Every fossil pokemon should also get one. Almost all of them are unviable besides some of the Swift Swimmers.
Just make it so if the fully evolved stage holds their own fossil they Primal Revert. That way it would be kind of hard to acquire; you'd have to get one Fossil, revive it, level it up to fully evolved and then Rock Smash farm for another one of its fossils.

Primal Dialga is just a shit translation, it's called Dark Dialga in np, dear baitman.
