nice smeargle nerd
what is this?
>>26420394
It's called a girl, anon.
You know I never have looked at xerneas's move pool. Find it hilarious that this thing randomly learns close combat and outrage. Seems like that'd suit bacon more.
german people shouldn't speak english
that terrible accent :D
>>26420423
I've seen a LO Xern donk a Ferro with a HH boosted CC.
Phys Xern could be something fun to pplay around with if only it got Play Rough.
>>26420441
are yyou HAvin a seizure OR someThhing?
>>26420467
do you need me to call somebody?
there is no way gamefreak isn't nerfing paralysis next gen, this cancer has gone on for too long
>>26420660
You mean like the gen before? and the one before that? and the one before that etc.
>>26420394
A chink
They seem insistent that it's HP water on that zapdos when all we saw was that it was NVE on the primal kyogre. It could very well be HP ice.
>>26420672
gen 6 was the first time they really made competitive specific changes, they already balanced status a lot then but paralysis is still too good
>>26420698
>Gamefreak nerfed Drizzle/Drought
There is some hope left in man.
>>26420698
Most megas are also pretty well designed, competitively speaking. There's a few that are straight up shit (audino) and a few that are broken (kanga, mence), but a lot of them are pretty well balanced.
Nice throwing job Lukas.
Nice to see you were 3-0
>Switch in Primordial Kyogre and use Fire Punch in the same turn
lol
>>26420768
>>26420766
Maybe he was expecting kyogre to take a tbolt and dragon ascent, instantly KOing it?
Still a bad play though.
That was a pretty good set
>>26420778
maybe his groudon only had fire and ground moves
>Only 255 masters at Germany
I had heard Kassel was a pain to get to but I don't think it is that big of a detterent.
Is this format just pushing away casuals?
If so it's a shame, I've been enjoying it but it might not be picked again in the future if it doesn't bring in good numbers.
>>26420828
Fewer people have ORAS compared to XY, people are frustrated with the format, and all of the legendaries make it very inaccessible unless you join a forum and look for cloned ones, spend days soft resetting, or buy a powersaves.
>>26420851
So much this.
Add to it the fact that there is near to no variation in the teams, making it for outsiders and beginners look very stale.
>>26420903
That's the primals' fault.
The special battle spot ladder on XY isn't as bad, even though xerneas is on almost every team there (since there's no primal groudon to partner it with)
>>26420851
last year was on ORAS with legendaries and the game still grew, all battlers own the newest game regardless anyway
Is bulky Xerneas the latest trend? When did they all stop being max speed?
>purugly and regigigas
>>26421025
WHAT'S GOING ON?
What stats got changed by moody? I don't speak Nazi.
>game language on screen isn't in english
What have we seen on regi?
Swagger, gravity, safeguard, and the last one is probably wide guard?
>>26421089
I must have missed the Safeguard but it's pretty surprising that it doesn't have either Thunder Wave or Icy Wind
I love Safe-Swagger.
>>26421041
I will be damned. Someone with some balls and creativity.
>>26421115
It's too bad you basically have to rely on luck if you decide to do something besides the best mons.
Holy shit that was amazing
WHY WOULD YOU NOT GO FOR PRECIPICE BLADES
>>26421144
Pokemon is heavily luck based anyway. The moment you step in, you know what awaits you.
First match that actually got my attention.
God bless german ingenuity.
HOLY SHIT THAT MATCH HAD ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT

So what was Purugly's niche as a Fake Out user? I know it gets Defiant but it doesn't seem like damage output is really its thing
>>26421172
112 base speed
it also has a pretty good support movepool, with stuff like hypnosis (to pair with regi's gravity), super fang, sucker punch, snatch, taunt, roar
>>26421172
Hypnosis I think? Thick Fat also helps a bit, but I think Persian would do a better job there with Technician-boosted Fake Out and Hidden Power-something.
Did something happen to this guy's jaw or is he roleplaying as Bender?
>>26421188
I believe I heard a bit of Stitch in his voice.
should I grow a beard, /vp/?
FLAMMENWERF
Lugia when?
Collin H thats currently playing on the Madison, USA stream is basically what I imagine 95% of /vp/ posters to be.
Fucking cringe.
>>26421410
White CIS Male?
I hear ya sister
Why is Lajos so based?
>Clefairy
Damn, what kind of set?
>>26421410
is he being autistic on stream again?
>>26421457
most of them are helping hand, icy wind, follow me, and something else (protect, encore, minimize)
you use it to take advantage of friend guard
>>26421457
Clefairy is a common pokemon in VGC because of friend guard, helping hand, follow me
>>26421467
Touching his own wrist while mega evolving his Pokemon, so yes I would say so.
>>26421467
>>26421467
>using rhyperior
I thought this was a showderp meme
>>26421507
it was pretty good last year
Wait, is Caitlin B just Collin H in a wig and sunglasses?
>>26421561
Caitlin is a tranny (yes, really)
>>26421615
another one?
I hope he uses that Clefairy.
>made a team for a tomorrow vgc match
>tried to test it out in battle spot
>cannot mega evolvealtaria
Do I need to advance the story to get mega bracelet to use mega evolution in battle spot?
>>26422095
yep upto around the 6th gym. If you want to mega evolve Ray you have to do the delta episode (post game sotry stuff)
>>26422117
Fortunately I have no fug in my team.
Why would you bring yveltal to a battle that has two fairies?
I'm a huge fan of yveltal and even I know that nothing good can come of that.

how many groudon did we have today?
round 9 and i kinda lost track^^
>>26422931
>^^
>>26422931
From my veiw point the two big archetypes are GrouXern and Double Primal. After that the next best setup seems to be GroudonYveltal. What I'm saying is basically 90+% of teams will have Groudon
>>26423027
The third most common legendary core is Rayquaza/Kyogre. Yveltal/Groudon is not that common.
Time to switch to madison. pokemonvgc @ twitch
>>26423091
After those three, what is the fourth most common?
So, how come americans are a bit more "attention whoring" than europeans? Europeans just do their thing but as soon as some Americans are on stream they always guesture to the camera and some act autistic when they win.
When the fuck did fast cresselia get popular?
>>26423448
I guess there's just more on the line at nationals and they're concentrating on the game way more.
>>26423455
Post worlds last year tonnes of people were using it, this season it only popped up big in the last few months
>>26423166
>After those three, what is the fourth most common?
probably kyogre + dialga
Germany top cut list when
>>26424078
>>26424095
Thanks a lot, anon.

Will Sun/Moon save VGC?
>>26426585
Will it be meta similar to X/Y again? That's the real question. Hopefully yes.
>>26426695
XY was not a good meta just because you saw it as being more diverse. It was a very linear and offensive meta compared to pretty much every other one that would reduce many matches to "did I guess the right lead?"
2012 and 2013 were much better in that regard but it seems most people don't know about anything from before 2014.
