The changes are more to bring them in line with other moves. Dark Pulse and Iron Head for instance have identical power and accuracy, yet Iron Head arbitrarily has a 30 rather than 20% flinch rate.
Stone Edge has 100 power and 80 accuracy, while most of the special moves have 110 power, 85 accuracy, and a beneficial secondary effect. Drill Run is currently 100% inferior to earthquake despite being a highly exclusive move only some of the strongest ground types like Excadrill and Rhyperior learn, 80 power and 95 accuracy compared to 100 and 100.

Drill run is single target, so it does have its niche. Also, high crit chance.

Iron head has the downside of being a contact move, making it susceptible to abilities like flame body and static, dark pulse does not.
The increase flinch chance is reasonable.

Those are such rare and mediocre abilities it's not even worth it as a tradeoff. What is even worth a shit and uses Flame Body? Just Volcarona? I feel they should make more stuff that has adds downsides for contact moves because a number of them are too disproportionately powerful for all the more risk involved. More abilities similar to Flame Body or something, except actually worth a damn, like Rough Skin and Iron Barbs. That or they can knock down the more powerful physical moves such as Close Combat and Double-Edge clones.

110/70, actually. Fire Blast is the only 85, Hydro Pump is 80, and the other non-exclusives(thunder, blizzard, hurricane, focus blast which admittedly has 120 power still) are 70.
