I mean, we went from Gen 3's "WOAH DUDE YOU'RE IN A BATTLE" upbeat, fast-pacedtrumpetmusic to "La-di-la-di-la, you're in a curse lil' fight! :D" slow-paced garbage?
I understand when people like the routes sounding that way, and I do to an extent, but the battle themes were just so pathetically bad, it baffles me that anyone would think they're the best.

Driftveil really stands out from every other town music and is catchy. Accumula on it's own is average but when I found that Piano/Drum toggle in the town, it just brought the music to life and it really stuck with me. Icirrus has a fun 'festive' vibe going on and that's what I enjoyed about it.

I'm a Manhattanfag and I had a laugh at their interpretation of the whole midtown-fashion scene soundtrack. I also really liked most of Kalos stuff, although I'm not a local so I can't really tell if it's an accurate representation of the local sound. Looking forward to Sun&Moon and how they interpret Hawaii's music

Fellow Manhattanfag here, I don't know if I'd go as far as saying their music is distinctly NY-ish but I definitely think it has a more "American" vibe to it barring the village bridge theme. A lot of it is reminiscent of the whole techno scene that was pretty strong in NYC for a good while.

Sinnoh had best soundtrack imo. I get nostalgic about a lot of them up through Sinnoh, but SInnoh is where it stops being entirely nostalgic for me and actually good. It felt as though they didn't put as much effort into the BW soundtrack as with D/P/Pl. XY was also pretty good, of course, but that's mostly because it's recent.
