Hey /vp/, let's figure out what ideology is present in the Pokemon universe?
Let's only use the main series games as canon for this, no spin-offs or anime.
I believe it's some weird mix between Anarchy and Cummunism, mostly because the majority of people aren't working in any sort of jobs and are mostly just travelers (fishers, swimmers, backpackers, hikers). Organizations such as Team Galactic are free to do as they want, there haven't been any inteligence agencies, armies, or even police present at major humanity endagering events.
You can argue Looker is working for interpol, but he has done absuletly nothing to prove it, so he is most likely just autistic running around, living his fantasies of stories he's read of the old world, before they discovered sustainable energy and food for everyone to share and created an utopia of a world (you don't pay or get payed for most of the things you do in the games, except battle items).
Also, the elite and politcal figures seem consist of Elite Fours and Gym Leaders, but there's prabably more to it than that.

What are you even talking about? You get money from winning pokemon battles, if you're scrub enough to lose then half your wealth is gone. Sounds more lucrative than gambling since skill is involved.
Or maybe it's just s fantasy world in a children's game that exists as a backdrop for monster fights, instead of a fully fleshed out and logical society?
