Overall, I probably like water starters the least, but Gen 6's terrible starters helped water out. New starters are even to me,. Rowlet is my favorite, but I really like Poppplio's design

Didn't even realise how much I liked Grass type starters until now.
Probably because, as is the case with 4/6 here, I'm never usually a fan of their final forms and so I grudgingly pick another starter.

Treecko line: Pretty good progression. They all look unique from each other while still resembling leaf tailed Geckos. My favorite design aspect is Treecko's belly stripe being retained and changing throughout evolution.
Turtwig line: Amazing concept, nearly flawless execution. Probably one of the best evolutionary progressions in the series by aesthetics.
Oshawott line: The most symbolically/conceptually powerful evolution lines in the series(Villager farming -> Samurai training -> Shogun in a war). While I do agree that execution on the animal basis isn't perfect, the genius progression of the shells(the Scalchops that were used like a blade and shield become large swords and shell armor) alongside the whisker to facial hair growth makes up for it imo.

Hey guys, OP here. Surprised this is still going. I think I definitely could have been more clear with the wording on the sheet. Yes, the intent is to select -ONE- Pokemon from each vertical column representing evolutionary stage, such that your combined ranking totals at the end will add up to 19, not to just select Pokemon you think look good.
Not that there's anything wrong with just talking about which Pokemon you think look good, but it certainly wasn't the intention of the thread. People seem to be enjoying themselves with whatever way they've interpreted it, though, so enjoy!

Most of these designs are completely fine and GF knows what they're doing for the most part.

Most of the gens were hard to choose from since I like so many of the starters, Gen 6 was so hard to choose from since I dislike so many of the starter stages.
