There is over 120 new pokemon, not including megas.
Sun starts with easy dificulty, Moon has a hard mode.
Hms are just TMs now, pokemon who can learn the moves can naturally do it when you aquire the badge.
There is synchronisation, like Pokken. It gives pokemon a stat boost when they hold the Synch stone. Only one pokemon in a team can hold it at a time.
You can have a pokemon follow you if you select it in aimee. It's animations use the mystery dungeon style.

1. The games handhold you like a baby. They even implement a map cursor like MGS5 or Deus Ex HR indicating which character to talk to, for you to not get lost. Gym Leaders have a maximum of 3 mons. /vp/'s nightmare is real. But...
2. An awaited Master mode is implemented when you beat the game. Somehow they balanced the difficulty to make it challenging even when you grind. Gym leaders have all full teams, with double HP for each mon. Legendaries are even more buffed. Forget about one-shot-kill them. /vp/ collectively creams itself when they realize.
3. The games are a huge love letter to Gold and Silver. 2nd gen Pokemon you almost forgot about have normal evolutions and megas. Most notable is Mega Ledian. State-wise it's not a threat, but has a broken ability, to the point it becomes the next Smogon mascot. Obviously 2nd gen starters get mega-evolutions. What is sad, though, is that they waste a nice chance to make Meganium competitive.
4. Sorry Flygon fans. Flygon is not getting a megaevolution. Neither do Haxorus nor Dragonite.
5. Greninja is important for the plot, as it's going to be the villain leader's ace. It has two possible megaevolutions. It will have the Sun Megastone or Moon Megastone depending on the version you're playing. When you beat him, he hands you his Greninja with megastone included as an apology for whatever he did.
