Fire/Ground since Typhlosion's species is the Volcano pokemon.
Maybe shuffle the stats around so it's a slightly tanky physical attacker, since it can learn a good number of pretty good physical moves.

Ground typing and Mold Breaker. It would hit less hard than M-Camerupt but hit those Levitate users like Rotom-W and the Latis, as well as being the only fast pokemon with that typing. Obviously would need to get Earth Power.

Not that related but I was always bummed out about Typhlosions flames only coming out when he attacks in gen 6. Without them always out he looks a little silly.

I just want Typhlosion to be able to effectively use all the good physical moves it can learn like Flame Charge, Earthquake, Aerial Ace, Shadow Claw, Wild Charge, Power-Up Punch, Thunder Punch, Reversal, Crush Claw, Flare Blitz, Rock Slide, and Double-Edge.
