More like Jew Up edition.
>>
So what's the deal with bringing a Safari mon to the safari?
>>
Tested myself some maxed up Skill Boosters the joy of being supreme

>Genesect
Only played one level with him, but it did activate 2/2 times on a 3 match and 2/2 on a 4 match, so it's likely boosted a lot. No damage boosts, but not like it needed any

>Giratina
5/5 activation rate, damage is boosted further by 1.5x (Po4+ did 1350 on a SE hit on MAX level)

>Blastoise:
3/8 on 3-matches, 6/7 on 4-matches 1/1 on 5-match, needs further testing. Didn't pay attention for damage

If anything, this will make grinding Ash-greninja useful enough (guaranteed 1215 damage for a 4-match? do want!)
>>
>>26370336
Spawns more coins in the level I think?
>>
>>26370345
Have you tested them with Angrychu?
>>
>>26370336
It's supposed to make coin disruptions bigger (at least better than a single coin on 6:6). Results are inconclusive however.

Before I forget: first for OP A SHIT.
really, Carnivine will be a timed stage. Hopefully the thread will be archived by then, but...

How the hell are you supposed to do that? I already took M-Aerodactyl along with 3 Rock Break ability mons and used a Moves +5 while making sure i kill it with the last possible move, yet i i still didn't manage to complete the mission. Is the game memeing at this point? The same for clear 100 Coins in any level. Well, I tried taking Frillish to the Safari.

Save your coins, you'll know when you hit the 'paywall' stages that require them. Also, the Normal-type Megas are just to teach some basic mechanics, so just use whatever you think is best for now.
>>
>>26374849
Winking Clefairy is dead, anon. Ability got changed two updates ago.
>>
>>26374320

yep, i killed it with 4 move remaining with a 24% catch rate that doubled to 48% upon great ball

stage has a lot of barrier and mesprit is in there as a 4th pokemon and also spawn something like 10 wooden block each disruption so it's kinda hard for a safari stage to be honest
>>
So do we know yet what causes Groudon to drop prizes? I've heard a few theories but none of them have held up to any testing, aside from "it's just luck."
>>
>Mesprit breaks out from all 4 great balls at 44% and runs away
why is this allowed
>>
>>26376324
The catch rates in this game feel so deceptive sometimes.

Caught it at 30% without a great ball
>>
>>26374849

>rock break
>deal more damage

But rock break doesn't deal damage to begin with
>>
>>26376429
Well now it does :^)
>>
>>26376324
That's why you don't ever throw a Great Ball if the catch rate's lower than 70%
Even then I went full retard and threw one at Electivire with 52%, thankfully I caught him on the first one
I had to throw 3 Great Balls to catch Zekrom with a 80+% catch rate and caught Blaziken at 1% with a regular Poké Ball, I'm not even sure the odds and probabilities work the way the game says they do anymore

It seems Barrier Bash+ Pokemon are required for Mesprit unless you get extremely lucky with the skyfall and the natural Sleep Charm with the falling Mesprits.

Supremefag fan of math here:
Maxed out Genesect, Magneton, Barbaracle and Phione for testing Crowd Control, then played with those four on Ampharos stage to test activation on 3-matches; results are as follow:

25/39
24/44
23/41
21/38
19/47
23/50

135 triggers out of 259, roughly 52%.

Then for 4-matches, went on Absol. 3 runs and it always procs.

tl;dr: Maxed out CC rate is 50%/100%/100%

So, how does the Groudon skill up thing actually work? Do you get an item after the battle, or does Groudon get buffed straight up? Do you need to bring Groudon into the stage, or can you bring anyone? How much does Groudon's skill go up?

Anyone know? Because I'm not getting anything from the stage so far.
>>
>>26380594
I just took an MSceptile team, went nuts and got presents, even got 2 in 1 round. Only done it twice but my tally is 3 so far. It auto gives it to Groudon but you need to have it caught first. Getting the skill level up once requires only 2, the next level looks like 10 and its probably a shitshow beyond that. Good news is it doesnt use hearts so if you have the dosh you could grind it up rather quick.

Nth for I don't know what causes Groudon to drop these.
It usually seems to happen after an A-Greninja Po4+ match or an especially brutal M-Swampert combo, but there've been plenty of times where it didn't drop because of that. Probably just RNG.

>>
>>26380963
In my opinion, not really. Electric, Poison, and Steel Pokemon are immune to paralysis, making Quake only usable on Fire and Rock stages, which you may or may not use Groudon on considering those two types have a fuck ton of options to use against them. But it's up to you.
>>
Ok, finally got a skill booster to drop.
Because I had so much frustration, I'll try to clearly write up the way the Personalized Skill Booster system works.

Pokemon from Special stages can recieve Personalized Skill-up Boosters. You must either capture or have previously obtained that pokemon in order to be eligible for personalized boosters to drop. The info button on the target Pokemon's stage will tell you if that stage will produce personalized skill ups. If you have the pokemon and the stage produces skillups, you are good to fight it. You do not need to bring the stage-specific pokemon in order for it to get boosters.

Once the stage starts, try to activate the abilities of your pokemon. Whenever you activate an ability, there is a chance that the stage pokemon will drop a present, think hitting a pinata.
Specifics for getting a present are not known.
You can get a present with as little as a match of 3.
You can get a present with a combo count as low as 1, if not 0.
Large damage is not required, though I do not know if a non-damaging ability can generate a present.
If presents can come from non-ability damage, I have not seen it.

At the end of the round, assuming you win, the amount of presents you knocked out of the stage pokemon determines how many skill up boosters you get.

According to >>26380898 progression of skill levels with respect to personalized (small) skill up boosters is:

level 1 to 2 is 2 small skill up boosters
level 2 to 3 is 8 small skill up boosters (Total 10)
level 3 to 4 is x small skill up boosters (Total 10+x)
level 4 to 5 is 27 small skill up boosters (Total 37+x)

I think thats a pretty clear description of how this system works, and should hopefully keep people from getting as confused as I was before they get their first boost, is there anything I missed?

Clear 100 coins is best done using a M-Mewtwo team, if you're desperate pay the 2 grand for clearing 100 coins.

If you only make 3 matches, you pass 100 coins cleared at 3300 coins earned
If you only make 4 matches, you pass 100 coins cleared at 7500 coins earned
If you only make 5 matches you pass 100 coins cleared at 10000 earned
If you only make 6 matches you pass 100 coins cleared at 11900 earned.

In most cases, about half coins cleared will be 3 matches, with the rest spread about more widely. Usually this means passing 7000 coins earned gets you the 100 coins cleared mission. This is easily achievable via M-Mewtwo, Unown, and your choice of the Meowstics and Espeon, but like I say, paying the 2800 virtually guarantees it with any of the M-Mewtwo, M-Banette or M-Rayquaza teams.

>Instead the best and only useful member of the Lake Guardians got cucked with Paralyze
My autism will get triggered forever running only Mesprit and Uxie, and why the fuck are Poison types immune to Paralysis? One out of the only two types Azelf deals super effective damage to is immune to its ability, fuck life
Rest in RIP Azelf
>>
>>26386428
According to lore, Uxie is stated to be the Being of Knowledge and was able to wipe the minds and memories of anyone whom gazes into its eyes. In the main game, it has its stats focused on defenses. In Shuffle, it was given the Ability Mind Zap, which resets the disruption counter and was obtained in a Great Challenge where it had a very high HP count.
Azelf is stated to be the Being of Willpower, and any whom laid a hand on its body would be rendered immobile as the lost the will to live. Its stats are offense based, with a heavy dose of speed. In Shuffle, it was caught it a High Speed Challenge with an extra Support, and has Paralyze, which stuns a Pokemon for 2 turns and prevents them from acting.
Mesprit is described as the Being of Emotion. Anyone whom brings it harm will suffer from having all their emotions drained away. Unlike the previous two, it wasn't engaged in a conventional battle and was a Roamer, requiring you to chase it around Sinnoh. This is reflected by it being the Rare Safari Pokemon, as it brings back the idea of needing to search for the elusive sprite from amidst many other common Pokemon. As befitting its balanced stats, its stage is not extraordinarily hard, and the challenge lies more in finding and catching it instead of beating it. Its ability in Shuffle is Sleep Charm, referencing its powers over Emotion and soothing others.

So when will the Main stages start getting chances for Skill Boosters? The game's notice about the Boosters makes it seem like that's indeed going to happen and it makes sense, otherwise how the fuck are we supposed to raise any Pokemon's skill at all?
What I'm fearing though is they'll make us pay to play the stages even if they're main/expert stages, as if knowing we'll eventually HAVE to pay to play stages that also require AP+ to beat wasn't enough
>>
Hey guys, legit question here
Why does everyone assume the Primal Reversions will be separate forms from Groudon and Kyogre? Everyone just keeps saying how much of a waste it is to use the RML or SB on them, is it because they do not have the white circle thing all the Pokémon with Mega Evolutions have or something in the game's data?
>>
>>26390521
Because they're coded in the game data as different species (like Keldeo and Keldeo-R or Genesect and Shiny Genesect)
>>
>>26390485
>what are skill boosters s/m/l
>>
>>26390926
>Implying we'd ever get enough to even max one Pokemon the way they're handing items

>>26390998
My bet?
Next patch we'll get an escalation battle. Non-prize levels will have a chance (say, 30%) of dropping a skill booster. Inside that 30%, make it 60/30/10 for s/m/l
>>
>>26390998
Now that's a real problem. Goddamit there are just too many items...mega speed ups, skill boosters, exp boosters.

However I'd say that there are only a few pokemon who are worth to give these skill boosters. Mons like Braviary and Lucario are the most important imo.
>>
>>26391020

>>
>>26391097
I said next patch, not next week; i'm aware of those reruns because I read the OP
>>
>>26391108
Oh ok, misunderstood ya.
Honestly though, I don't think it's a cool move to make it all dependant on chance like that, especially on an escalation.
You'd have a bunch of unlucky people who couldn't afford to beat the later stages missing out on stuff.
>>
>>26390998
I'm surprised with all the new items Pokemon Shuffle doesn't have a daily item event that runs for a month.

They can dole out 1000 coins, 2000 coins, 3000 coins, skill boosters, experience boosters and a single Mega Speedup and Jewel every month.

Did anyone ever confirm that bringing Safari Pokemon to the Safari increases the chance to make Mesprit appear? It's the only one I'm missing at this point.
>>
>>26394203
It's a 2% chance. The guy who "confirmed" this on GameFAQs (getting Mesprit on the next try) was probably just lucky.
>>
>>26393473

Homan, Wumon, and Xeron and the fourth hidden Tranmon.
>>
>>26394607
>implying genders other than male and female exist
>>
>>26394259
Aight. I just figured there was a chance since the notification mentioned something about a benefit from being Safari mons and some people on here who mentioned there Mesprit teams had a Safari mon on it. The thing in the notification was probably referring to how the the Ghost types in the Safari are supereffective against all the mons in the Safari. I guess I'm going with a M-Gengar/Bisharp/Sharpedo team in hopes I find the damn thing.
>>
>>26394782
If you have the mon you're fighting in your team it'll make a match before your first move and it'll disrupt with 4 coins (whereas if you didn't have that mon with you it would only disrupt with 1 coin), that's the "benefit". Bringing Frillish with you for example isn't a bad idea as it's SE against everything else you might encounter, plus it's fairly common so you might make 100-300 coins while searching for that elusive Mesprit. I happened to have it with me when I found Mesprit, and Reshiram was my 3rd one as people had said there'd be a lot of barriers. Barrier Bash+ did help a little, but the stage wasn't that hard anyway in my experience, making a match of 5 Mesprit and putting it to sleep didn't hurt either, of course.

Good luck in your search!
>>
>>26394782
If you bring e.g. Frillish to its own stage, seven coins will appear as a disruption (instead of a single coin).

Only worth it to offset some of the coins you can't grind from Meowth, but it makes Mesprit harder if you do meet it. So just bring your strongest team.

Should I bother maxing out Groudon's Quake now that I have the chance?

>>26400299
If you've used RMLs on Groudon or if you plan to then I think it's worth doing, but since three of the five types Groudon beats are immune to paralysis some people say otherwise.

I stopped at level 3 because I'm low on coins and care more about getting skill boosters on Kyogre and Ash-Greninja than I do about Groudon.

Really if you have loads of coins you may as well go at least to 4, maybe 5. If you don't, 3 is a fine stopping point, and a 20% boost to Quake's activation is still nice to have.

I wonder what they'll do with this game once SM is released.

There's still only like 150 unreleased pokémon (not counting forms), so it can't last that much longer without nothing new, even with those winking icons being shoehorned into it.

Will they just add gen 7 pokémon to it or will the be done with this game and launch a "Shuffle 2" after some months?

Do mobile games even "stop" at some point?

I've been playing it since release, anon. Not spent a single penny. Currently up to area 22.

I'm going to beat this shit without paying just to show that I can.

Keep in mind you still have to unlock all the 10 or so areas you passed up getting to that point, then the Mega Pen, then all the energy upgrades, and then all the slot upgrades.

I didn't pass up any areas. I have all areas from 1-22 unlocked.

I am impressed man. You are an inspiration.

It's basically just "check in once after midnight and to daily training" at this point. I unlock new levels once a week or so. Not much effort.

I'm the same, It's not that hard to keep up if you make the daily check part of your daily routine

I think that collective chance of them all escaping dangerously approaches 95%
Anyone as unlucky as I am?

I had to beat that fucking Jellicent like 10 times. Cancerously bad catchrates for something that rare.

When should I buy mega pen?
I'm in 20 zone and I need 230 to unlock the next.

Should I continue to 21 zone or get 500 for mega pen?
