I didn't use Emboar because I didn't like either White or White 2 enough to play either a second time -- but I didn't even use the starters I *did* choose, Serperior and Oshawott respectively, because they were both bad.

Emboar is this best fire/fight prove me wrong oh wait you can't because it's just my opinion and is based on feelings instead of facts and nothing you can say will change my mind, but I think it's perfectly okay if you prefer one of the other two because everybody is entitled to their own opinions, and to be perfectly honest I can't be sure if I really like it or if I'm such a mega-contrarian that I simply convinced myself that I liked him, but considering he's the only starter I've actually used in the last 6 Pokemon games I've played I think I can safely say that yes, I do actually like Emboar. No pure grass or water ever repeated 3 times and had some variety thrown in. Heck typhlosion is the only pure fire starter while half of them are you know what with Fire/Flying and Flying/Psychic on the side.
