The first disappointment was Dedenne not getting an evolution despite it being even smaller than Pichu (and exactly half the size of Pachirisu, Minun, Plusle, Emolga, and Pikachu, who are all 1'04"). I was so sure it'd be the first pikaclone to get an evolution.
Then the second disappointment was it not getting any special Fairy-type attacks--not even a fucking Fairy Hidden Power.

The symbolism of literally having to reach the peak of Pokémon's highest mountain to catch your legendary is quite nice, though.
I enjoy traversing Coronet a lot more than surfing around Route 124-133 in Hoenn, but that may be because I played through Hoenn based games 4 times in a short span of time.

You are aware that the Sinnoh games have the lowest amount of Pokemon on the overworld as well as the most repeats, Platinum somewhat rectified that by adding the prevos for the new evolutions which should have been done in the first place.

DPPt being hit the hardest mind you because Hidden ability pokemon can be found outside of the dream world. Most of DPPt's interesting content was online only.
Oh and before you mention the shit in Black and White 2 like Join Avenue keep in mind that the game gives you free NPCs as well and you can still get them through local play.

General consensus is Sinnoh buddy, hell mega evolution exists solely because people found the evolutions in Gen 4 unappealing yet asked for them in gen 5.

Tyranitar, Garchomp and Latios are all examples of megas debatably worse than their non-megas.
M-Tyranitar doesn't offer much extra norm-Tyranitar can't already do.
M-Garchomp trades in speed tiers to makeit go from a great speed tier to an awful one, and trades in two great abilities for an awful one.
M-Latios pumps most of its mega boost in attack while literally having no physical moves that he doesn't already have a better special move for, and he can already hit opponent's defense through Psyshock.
