How would you feel? It's odd because at the beginning of gen 6 I felt the trainer portraits were a lazy cop out and wanted full models, but now I honestly think they're just so full of charm and would really prefer they keep them in some capacity.

I'd definitely prefer the portraits unless they significantly increase the quality of the 3D models. The game just looks so low-res and shitty in 3D. It's really gonna suck if they just stick to shitty 3D models.
Full models over portraits any day.
Especially if trainer battles have trainers in the background at all time like the little bits we've seen.

I'll take portraits over models any day of the week, especially because they tend to be done lately by the actual competent Pokemon artist who designs cuties, Ohmura.

I'm only okay with the non chibi overworld 3d models so far. Chibis aren't that bad but the SM ones look kinda better.
