Gen 5: cool one: snivy, cute one: tepig, weird one: Oshawott
Gen 6: cool one: froakie, cute one: fennekin, weird one: chespin
Gen 7: cool one: litten, cute one: rowlett, weird one: popplio
this way they can hit all demographics. Girls have the cute one, boys get the cool one and while everyone is arguing over whether the cute one or the cool one is better, the hipsters and weirdos choose the weird looking one
