Litten, I've already sacrificed so much semen to her I'm basically required to.
Litten because I like cats. I have a black cat of my own and I'm thinking of naming my Litten after her.
Popplio because I have a soft spot for puppies...Plus the who acrobatic clown theme it has going on opens the possibilities for a varied moveset.
I wanted to go with the grass this gen before the starters got released and I like owls but I don't want to go with the one EVERYONE wants. I've always wanted a fire cat starter but I'm afraid Litten is gonna evolve into something stupid. I like Popplio and historically water has been a safe choice for me, but I want to mix things up this time.

Almost a week after the announcement, the contrarianism is starting to kick in. I'm still willing to bet Rowlet will be the most popular starter choice for first playthroughs.

No clue, depends on the evolutions. Everyone of them is currently cute, but after chespin I don't know what they'll do to these little babies.
I'm stuck between litten and rowlet. I love cats but really don't care for fire starters (I usually pick grass). They both look so adorable though. I'll have to wait and see the final evolutions and than pick from there.

Litten because I like cats and fire starters are my favorite. Rowlet is cute but I've never been big on grass Pokemon in general so it isn't enough. I have this feeling in my gut that Popplio's evolutions will be good so I'd pick Popplio before Rowlet anyways.

I'd actually be pretty happy with any of them. I'm leaning towards Popplio just cause he seems so cheerful, but Rowlet is probably going to be nice to have as a Fly user in game.
I'm honestly torn between whether I even want to see the inevitable leaks of the evolved forms to help decide or if I'd prefer to just play and see what happens.
Although I started off really liking Rowlett, Popplio has completely grown on me. I am definitely picking him, unless his evolutions turn out to be garbage, which I'm hoping GameFreak will have the competence to avoid doing.

This has been coming up in my mind a few times too. I've gone into most new Pokemon games completely unaware about the starters' evolutions, and it's always a nice surprise. So I don't know...
