I'm wanting to get into pokemon again, I played Red, Gold and Pearl and I watched the anime till Ash go to Hoenn, how I can be a Pokémon Master like you guys?

Now, that's if you want to play the main series games. You could also just play something like Showdown and learn a bunch of Pokemon and moves and Google what you don't know, kind of like learning on the fly. Even by manga standards, it was pretty meh. I doubt most Pokemon fans enjoyed Pokemon Adventures. Same goes for the anime, it's disliked by a large portion of the fanbase but appeals to young children. Basically, just enjoy the games, the other mediums are completely different from the games. They give you a character and you follow their story instead of you finding yourself in a small town and starting your own adventure and hardships. It's the selling point of the series, really.
