Before I bouh this N3DS XL, I had the regular 3DS. I have to say, it's awesome, especially playing VC Red on it. System Transfer was easy and took 10 minutes despite lot of people saying system transfer sucked. I wanted it in black like my old 3DS was, but red looks nice anyways.
Has a clear case on it to stop the artwork from getting scratched or dirty. Inkay charm was a present from a friend in Japan.

Aqua Blue here as well. Although, I wish it wasn't as teal as it is. Yes I know it's in the name but it's hardly blue, and if I had the chance to have its casing swapped with that of a Cerulean Blue 3DS I'd totally do it.

I have big hands (not a gril) and it's perfect to me. The regular 3DSs are the ones that feel awkward to me, I can't play comfortably on them for as logng as I can on a 2DS.

I find n3DS way more comfy than a 2DS, to begin with. Some games (like MH) have improved textures for n3DS and most of games load way quicker.
If you have some money to spare getting a n3DS is a good idea though, but not necessary.

The case that I use. It is actually really handy and pretty compact, despite holding 12 games, 2 styluses (or in my case an extra stylus and a mini screw driver to switch face plates), a charger, and the console.
I got a Fire Emblem Fates N3DS. These things sold out pretty fast, but luckily they weren't as limited as the FE Fates SE.
