Guys, I'm a noob about IVs. I read bulbapedia, ign and other guides across the web and here's what I have understood.
>every pokemon has 6 IV, one for every stat
>IVs go from 0 to 31, where 0 stands for shite wnd 31 for excellent

Almost, but:

Without Destiny Knot, 3 random IVs are inherited from the parents, and 3 are newly randomly generated.
With Destiny Knot, 5 are inherited, and 1 is newly generated.
You can also pass 1 specific IV from a specific parent by using the matching Power item, and pass Nature by using an Everstone.
