You might have had an argument if the fake owl design hadn't "leaked" with two other poorly drawn starters. Because it did we can see it's just a fake that made a solid guess about what animal the Grass type would be.
Really this owl's biggest downfall was how shit the other two fakes looked.

I am getting really tired of this argument. Every time I browse /vp/, there are at least three simultaneous threads with almost the exact same posts in every single one of them. I didn't get involved when the leaks first showed up because I knew without a doubt that they were fake, anyone with a brain did, but I was naive enough to think that when the real starters were revealed the owlfags would let it go. Instead theres now a distinction between 'owlfags' and 'Roothootfags' where before they were one and the same. Now its 'Owlet evolves into Roothoot!' despite the fact that they look absolutely nothing alike, they only share the common theme of a grass owl and, above all else, Roothoot is a mess design wise. And when the real second and third stages are revealed, its going to be 'it was concept art so we were still right all along!'.
Autism is real and it lives on /vp/. I've been on 4chan for almost ten years now and this debacle is literally the worst thing I've ever seen come out of this site. Not even trolling or making a joke right now, this entire owl fiasco is worse than anything /b/ could have ever come up with because at least THEY would admit that they're just pretending to be retarded.
