You should just come to terms with the fact that Game Freak has no desire nor obligation to make all Pokemon useful even within the game itself. Once you accept that some Pokemon were specifically designed to be bad, jokes, or one-note gimmicks (Farfetch'd, Delibird, Castform), the happier you will be going forward.

Dunsparce isnt even bad in-game. Glare, Roost, good HP, and Serene Grace give it some decent utility and survivability.
I too would be happy if it got an evo though. Especially a fat Normal/Fairy.

dunsparce is a weak shitmon because there is a heirarchy. we can't have every pokemon designed to have a competitive niche in OU.

Oh dont get me wrong, my Dunsparce Paraflinched the shit out of Dialga in my latest Diamond run and he a general cool guy in-game. It singelhandedly weakened it enough to allow me to catch it while there was only 4 levels of difference between them.
The thing is, I want to use it more. I want to use it in competitive and in stuff like the Battle Maison/Frontier. I want there to be a version of my bro that I dont just like for its design and isnt objectively kinda bad when push comes to shove.

Actually, a lot of pokémon gained mega evolutions just because a lot of people liked them. Even the ones that was already powerful, like Garchomp, Scizor, etc

That's kinda the point. It's supposed to be a joke pokemon; it's incredibly rare, but also completely useless.
At the same time, something like a level 100 evolution or something equally joke-like would be neat.
Dunsparce will never get an evolution because of it's name. Dunsparce is a relatively rare pokemon, hence the sparse part of its name. But when you catch one you'll be super excited until you realise how useless it is, hence the the duns part of its name.

Dunsparce is my favourite pokemon. I used it in black and white 2 and it was one of my best Pokemon experiences!!
Why does this board dickride all the pathetically and/or intentionally awful Pokemon. You see it every day, whether it's Dunsparce, Regigigas, Farfetch'd, Slaking. They're shit, they're not even cool, and there's essentially no reason to be a fan of them as pokemon.

For me with Dunsparce it was my first run in Black 2 where I just decided to run with some joke mons I never had before.
In one of the first routes I caught a Dunsparce and with its good HP, Glare, Roost, and Double-Edge it ended up being pretty effective and fun to run with.
I think Its the same with most people here who like mons who arent really viable competitively. One day they decided to run an unusual mon for jokes and they got attached to it.

The last time we got straight evolutions was nearly 10 years ago. The closest two things we've ever gotten since then have been megas and an eevee split evolution.
We're really likely to never get new evolutions for old Pokemon again. At best we'll get more shit like Gallade and Frosslass for some Pokemon.
Expect any currently fully evolved Pokemon to continue to be awful forever without a mega.

No shit they didnt have cross-gen evos. GF could just as well arbetrarily decide to have them in this gen. GF just does what it wants and anything can happen.
