Step 1) You come to a consensus with a fan name
Step 2) You become very insistent on your fan name and grow too attached to that fan name
Step 3) GameFreak discloses the Pokemon and its official name
Step 4) Incessant bitching that GameFreak didn't adopt your fan name
Final Step) You insist your chosen fan name is the right one.

Is more likely. Eeveelutions have always been special types, not physical, so Ghost, Poison, and Dragon seem more likely.
