Nope. James is destined to always lose his pokemon and never be happy. Calling it now, Inkay will evolve and lead those time traveling Malamar everyone forgot about. He'll then end up having an episode or two without a pokemon, then he'll get a Clauncher that keeps pinching his head.
I'm honestly dissapointed in the XY/XYZ anime for not having more pokemon caught. Ash is on his 8th badge and only has 5, 3 of which are fucking fliers. Why hasn't Jessie or James just gone and caught a new pokemon. Why hasn't Clemonts Chespin evolved.

I honestly have my doubts on anything good happening. Ash will lose the league and quickly drop everything to go to the Alola region where he'll get all 3 of the starters, meet Misty and Brock who are on vacation, and travel the region with them.
