I think the new is going to be less tropical and more jungle, adventurer. Hawaii is a mix of holiday, tourism place but also has its quiet culture spot that your not going to find on a map. Not only that we all know this region is base off Hawaii and this is only one island of many. Here hope we get some type of flute like in ORAS but with surfing, but fast surfing, very very fast which will make it more of an adventure region.

The theme for Hoenn was using natural resources creatively (Fortree being built in trees, Pacifidlog being built on coral, Verdanturf being occupied by the elderly because of the fresh air, Lavaridge using natural hot springs, and Fallarbor town using the volcanic soil to grow crops).
Unova's themes were plentiful, but they included music and the seasons predominantly.

The big Island is called Great Britain, and it is comprised of 3 countries: England, which is the big one with London, Plymouth, Manchester, Liverpool and York in it, The cold, wet medium sized country to the north of the Island with Loch Ness, Edinburgh and the taller but less pretty mountains is called Scotland and the smaller country with Cardiff Swansea, Mount Snowdon and the really, really pretty mountains, rivers and waterfalls is called Wales. Each of those countries could be the basis for a great pokemon region on its own but together they would make something amazing.
The country they all make up is called the United Kingdom and this also incorporates a 4th country Northern Ireland, which is on the island of Ireland.

True enough. Being an island, all of our cities are coastal and far away from each other, with nothing major inbetween. But in another sense it's quite like the anime - the potential for endless wandering through woodlands and meadows. Even the bogs could be an interesting source for new mons.
I guess Japan should have a similar issue, but they have a gigantic population and most people live near the coast because the interior is so mountainous, which isn't the case in Ireland.
