While extremely unlikely, the new overworld would make adding in models a breeze, but would require scaling down of large pokemon to such an extreme that it's unlikely to happen.
Still, we'll see plenty of overworld pokemon to tease the possibility until they crush our dreams again.

Didn't see it in the trailer, so not for certain leaning towards no.
I don't personally see the appeal and it sounds like extra work (albeit however small) for no real payoff. If there were some extra interaction I could understand but I've never seen anyone bring anything of real substance in favor of it.
