I actually choose oshawot on my first playthrought because I felt pity for all the bullying. Oryginally I wanted tepig but im glad I choose oshawot, because I avoided spoilers and didn't know at that time he's gonna turn fire/fighting. Oshawot on the other hand evolved better than I expected to be honest.

Here, but I like all gen V starters, well their designs with the exception of Oshawott. Dewott/Samurott are cool, Tepig line was my least favorite but became my favorite after I used it and wrecked shit with it, I like how its a pig/rabbit thing. Snivy looked the best and the Serperior line is objectively the best looking of the three but in game it sucks because the stat distrubution was stupid, and Game Freak also decided to give these guys a lower BST than all other starters for some fucking reason.
Always go with water starter on first playthrough and this is no different, though I will concede I prefer Rowlet of the 3. It's the final evolutions which count anyway. My favorite starter overall is Torterra but I don't even like Turtwig or Grotel.

I don't know why people are shitting on it so hard. It's not as appealing as the others, but the design is solid. It looks dorky and silly, but it's supposed to. It's a baby circus seal. The only details and color changes it splurges on are a pink clown nose and a collar. It's not anything like the nonsense patchwork abomination Oshawott was in Gen V.
