It was the first legend I saw, since I was dumb as a kid and never saw Articuno, Zapdos or Moltres in Red. I awoke it and it's buddies from the burned tower, stepped out to the south, and saw Raikou in all of his amazing glory. Dem fangs, Dat cape and tail, Dat based as fuck typing. Plus, he's good in OU now, so there's that too. I wish he'd drop though, I miss using him in UU

I know exactly why I love my favourite pokemon, it's because it's an excellent top tier fighter, because it's type and stats appeal to me, because it's fun to play competitively, because it's design screams badassery, but cuteness at the same time, and because of nostalgia, as it was in the first team I ever made, and was the first mon whose evolutionary method I had to look up.
Ever since I was a kid I have loved the bug type. And it's really hard to pick a favorite from it, because I love so many that it's easier to say the ones I dislike. Essentially Gen 4's non-Combee line bugs.

Nice color scheme, and it's cute. It's fairly unique as well, and it's pretty strong. The size mechanic is also really neat. I also love ghost types, all of their designs are pretty top-tier except for a small handful.

It's adorable, and it's just such an odd little pokemon. Why is it blue? Why does it have little red boots? I dunno, but I like it.
I like Tangrowth too, but not as much as Tangela. It's largely to do with the fact that the sprite for it looks so lazy. It just looks like a giant blue blob with some stringy bits, rather than something concealed under vines.
I was raising a team back in generation 3, I didn't know what I was doing, so I made a team with a fire water grass core, a dragon, and two other things I thought were 'good.' I heard that raising mons through grinding instead of rare candies made them stronger, so I grinded on wild pokemon and trainer rematches, and every time a Grimer or Muk came by, it destroyed me, and I didn't understand why, so I looked shit up. I learned about how pokemon have base stats, I learned what natures actually did, I educated myself on EVs and IVs, and to top it all off, I learned that the poison typing isn't shit like I thought it was. So after learning all that shit, I ditched the team I was raising and made a new one, with an adamant EV trained Muk and (for some reason) a modest Absol with Icebeam Flamethrower and Thunderbolt, and it kicked ass.
Muk is great.

even though I've always been scared as shit of insects, they had that elegance and "freedom" which appealed me, dragonflies were my worst nightmares yet my favorite dreams.
And there was yanma, rare, weak, but soon to evolve and gain strength which saved my ass in game and in competitive so many times I couldn't even believe it. God damn air slash and his 30% flinch proc.
The icing on the cake is when I hatched my last competitive team.
Out of 6 pokémons and thousands of eggs, I hatched a shiny.

I always liked Sabrina and thought she was a cool character with a cool story. My favorite type is weak to my favorite mon.
For a while it was Nidoking for carrying me through Red and because he looks dope. Then it was Infernape because I'm a fan of Journey to the West and he was a good mixed attacker. Now my favorite is Hawlucha and I'm not sure if it'll ever change at this point. He's so good at what he does, he's based on fucking lucha libre which I have a strange fascination with, and he just flat out looks dope. Honestly, the only way there could be a pokemon better designed for me is if they came out with a psuedo-legendary, OU, luchador based pokemon.

Always enjoyed dark and ghost types, my favorite being Zoroark. Most unique poke'mon gameplay style meant to play mind games with the enemy. And if done correctly can streak entire teams. Also the design has always been a favorite of mine since it's release.
I just really like its design and I had some fun times using him in Black version since mine had Moxie. Crunch and Earthquake were a lot of fun to use with this guy
