BW was 10 years after Diamond and Pearl.
XY were 5 years before ORAS. You'd assume it's the other way around, but remember that Mega Evolution is a new discovery in XY, and ORAS has even more Megas than XY did, meaning further discoveries were made.
This would put XY at the same time as RBGY in this timeline, and since SM are celebrating the 20th anniversary, SM take place 20 years after XY/RBGY.
This also makes sense because take Shauna's age, add 20 years, and you put her at just the right time to be a mother.
Another thing, the fact that the VC releases of RBGY can import to SM through PokeBank the same way as XYORAS puts RBGY/XYORAS all relatively on the same time table, timeline wise.
