What new fossil Pokemon are you hoping for? What sort of prehistoric animal would you base it on?
>>
Stegosaurus fossil that is Rock/Grass seems to be popular choice here.

I would like at least another aquatic fossil. Maybe Ichtyosaurus since Lapras fills the Plesiosaur-like role. Although it will be another Rock/Water. Hopefully GameFreak will pull a Lileep/Anorith where an aquatic fossil Pokémon aren't Rock/Water.

Rock/Fighting caveman
Rock/Ghost pile of bones that couldn't be revived properly for unknown reasons

When traded for the other, they evolve:

Caveman gains a skull helmet, bone club, and various amulets made of bones; learns various Fire moves.

Bones become rearranged into what appears to be a grave or some kind of primitive ritual site.

Kanto's was a duo. Aerodactyl was seperate from them in terms of finding them. You might as well call the optional starters you get in XY or post-game starters the official starters of their games instead of the first 3 you pick from using that logic.

Rock/Fighting caveman. Starts off as an Australopithecus holding a club, evolves into a neanderthal holding a spear. Physical tank, kind of like conkeldurr, with access to a new rock type priority move that has increased priority over gale wing because talonflame needs a nerf in order for fighting types to ever be relevant again.

Rock/Water type based on prehistoric whales. Starts off an as ambulocetus and evolves into a basilosaurus. Make it a fast special sweeper with access to water spout (because whale) and a special rock move that doesn't suck.

The moa-nalo was a flightless bird native to ancient hawaii. I could see that as the first form and then have it evolve into something akin to a terror bird to make all the people who want one happy. Probably Rock/Ground since it's flightless. Rock/Normal? Even if that sounds like a bad idea.

Hawaii is too new of a formation to have been home to most traditional dinosaurs so it's hard to really pick one from the traditional choices. Still, I don't think that would stop GameFreak from using one anyway. I would want something like >>26300437 as it sounds awesome.

Still, I am going to go with a non-dino choice. Rock/Steel type. A fast, physical attacker. However, it's an ancient squid with design elements of a harpoon. Based in part by pic related, a Cameroceras. I know it seems like it would be Rock/Water but I think Rock/Steel with harpoon elements would be just fine. Five it access to a few water moves like Aqua Jet.

Doesn't have to be based on a real animal. Rapidash is based on a unicorn and those aren't real, but that doesn't stop Rapidash from kicking ass.

Dinosaurs I would most want:
Velociraptor- Either Rock/Dark or Rock/Fire. We need a Rock /Fire type that's better than Magcargo and I don't see why Velociraptors can't breathe fire.

Triceratops- Preferably Rock/Electric, I bet those horns would look so badass shooting lightning out of them. Mono-Rock would be all right too, just not Rock/Ground or Rock/Steel, we already have enough of those and Aggron and Rhyperior are sorta Triceratop-ish already.

Sabre Tooth Tiger- Would love Rock-Ice done correctly, a fast attacker with similar stats to Weavile. I love the idea of it having Icicles for fangs. Rock/Dark would work for this one too, I guess.

Dunkleosteus- Rock/Water or Rock/Dark, these things are too fucking cool.

Exactly what I wanted

How much do they usually have? 530?
>>
What about a fossil pokemon that has been preserved in ice rather than stone. Never melt ice exists in the pokemon universe, so dragging it around would work out just fine.

I've wanted one of these since I learned what Croconaw's inspiration really was.

Wow. Did the designer change completely for Fossil Fighters frontier?
>>
>>26319025
I personally liked some of the redesigns, but I prefer the older designs
I hope they switch to their old designs in the next game (If there is one)
I also want super evolvers to come back[/spoilers]

If you're gonna be a dick at least actually keep up with what you're talking about. Brontosaurus has been restated as a valid genus.

rock/electric cybernetic virus

They took out super evolvers? Huh. Guess that's to be expected with all the recolors. But still weird.

They'd still do it.

What is Bastiodon?
>>
>>26305163
Arthropleura was a millipede though.

This nigga knows what's up

>Triceratops
>literally means "face with three horns"
>bastiodon has two, or four horns if you consider the little ones on top, none of them facing front
Bastiodon has a castle on his face, and is as much of a Triceratops as Tyranitar was a T-Rex.

Gen 6 have 521, pre-gen 6 have 495 (except Archeops, which has a higher one thanks to Defeatist)

What some sort of ghost type?

Here me out. They try to revive a fossil and it doesn't quite turn out. The Pokemon has technically been revived but not completely so it's a ghost or a shell of its previous form. Could be a ghost psychic type.

I'd see a water type being the best plausible cause for not being about to %100 be brought back. Their fossils are normally very poor or unless they somehow managed to get preserved 'properly(?)'. So it'd be like a water the they try to revive and accidentally made it into a ghost type.

Say if it was a cephalopod of some sort they'd be intelligent enough to be a psychic or something.

While it would end up a Rock/Water-type, I'd still like to see Rodhocetus become "pokemonized".

Just no more dinosaurs. There's so many other creatures from those eras that aren't dinosaurs that could work great as fossil mons.

Like dimetrodon?

>>26323211
No particular reason it needs to be water-type. I mean, yeah, GameFreak tends to over do it with

>lives in water
>MUSTER BE A WATER TYPE

But's no hard and fast rule. Just give it a water related ability and it can be Rock/Whatever

A fucking sabertooth tiger
