So, any new fan-art of Popplio's possible evolutions? Does anybody have any new ideas? I think his bubbles will play a huge role in his evolutions, and I'm hoping he remains thin rather than getting big and blubbery. What do you guys think?

As for the contrarian part, there are so many pokemon fans. Even if 5% loved Popplio, that's still a large quantity of popplio fans.
As someone who has chose water Pokemon for every gen, I was very indifferent towards Popplio. Didn't really like him... But all the fan art lately has changed my mind. The little guy is adorable.
Fuck it, I like it. It and Rowlet. I'm not too big on Litten, but I don't really hate it. Maybe I'll actually take the water starter this time around. I will admit I was a bit indifferent to all three at first, but that happens whenever the new starters are shown.

I keep thinking that these starters kind of suck in the sense that we already have cats, owls, and sealions. I know they're slightly different but it sort of ruins my hope for down the road.
When the next games come out will the think tank be even more empty?
He won't be my starter, as I am a cat person, but he has charm.

The orange part is the upper part of the beak, the white part is a tuft of feathers that barn owls have that covers it up.

I'm going Team Litten, but I fully support the Popplio fans. I honestly think it has a decent design.
I fully expect it to evolve into some sort of acrobatic jester seal with a really fun design, that, either through Psychic or Fairy power, surrounds itself with levitating balls of water that it throws at its foes at high speed.

All the starters are great in their own ways. I'm glad other people aren't as narrow-minded to attack people with different opinions. Kudos, Litten fan.
That sounds like a sweet idea for Popplio to evolve into. His bubbles will probably play a huge role in his design, and I can see him becoming a psychic type easily. I'd love that to happen. Psychic and water type are my favorite types too, so it makes it even better. He would probably use the levitating bubbles to bounce off of, not throw them tho.

I would ratehr have another gen 6 then another gen 5. All the starters ffirst stages in gen 5 looked great, the second stages were meh, and then their final evos were all really disappointing.
This is the first starter set in a while where I am actually struggling with it.
I like parts of all of them. I don't know if that is a good thing or a bad thing - before was there just always one commanding leader in my mind, or are these just very well rounded? I can't tell - I think I like Litten though.

They're all very simple, so yeah, they are all pretty difficult to choose from. The thing that helps people decide their favorites are the little gimmicks each starter has, like Popplio's bubbles and Litten's oil gimmick, and the fan art that help people pick their favorites.
