I really dislike the markings on it. It's like they put them there without any logical thoughts just to make the design feel less bland. The red around its mouth and whiskers is fine, but the strips on its legs and the mark on its forehead just seem random.

Put back the whiskers and the tail tip, and add markings on the back and to the tip of the tail, replace the white with and I'm good.
It's a generic anime cat with an annoyed face made to appeal to edgelords. Not the worst starter design but certainly one of the most uninspired.

In defense of it's name, it has the same naming scheme of Charmander, that being:
fire word + last syllable of real world animal it's based upon
albeit; Litten does seem a little bit more lazy considering it's just one letter from kitten.
