Same problem at first. I love barn owls, so I was drawn to Rowlet at first. But I'm pretty sure I'm going with Popplio, it's so cute and doofy. I'll never complain about a stupid looking Pokemon, those are the fun ones.

I can't choose between Rowlet and Popplio! I tend to go with the least popular one, so I think I'm leaning towards Popplio. He's really growing on me with his bubble gimmick, and I like his design even more every day.
Rowlet is equally great though. I guess I'll have to see the evolutions first to make a solid decision. Once their middle evolutions are revealed or leaked, I'll make my decision. I want their last ones to be a surprise.

For some reason people really belived the next set of starters was going to be Dark/Fighting/Psychic and one of the fans took advantage of it. These days this stuff would be debunked in a second of course, but the fanbase used to be much worse at telling fakes apart and shit like this got reported as real all the time on various websites.
