It's weird that they just ditched the normal color scheme this gen. I feel like Litten is a lot less "edgy" and fits in better with the other fire starters if his colors are tweaked. Thoughts?

Gen 5 and above have had brighter colours for the starter mons.

The problem with Litten isn't that it's "edgy", it's that it's just a cat. I hate Litten, but saying that it's edgy is just a misuse of a buzzword.
That being said, personally, Litten would be better off if it had something to differentiate it from just being a regular cat. Maybe if the end of its tail were on fire, like how a wick is, it would be good. I know that it's not really an original idea, but people who love Litten always say "the tail is a wick!", when it could easily just be a scruffy tail. It'd also help to make the orange parts outside of the muzzle look more organic, instead of looking like striped socks.
