Mega Evolutions were exclusive to Gen 6 and helped make it "unique." Masuda even confirmed this. It won't be returning ever again.
The fact that Masuda confirmed they could be making a BW3 after XY had already started post-production confirms this further. The Delta Episode establishes the multiple universe EXACTLY SO Game Freak can drop Megas by going back to the old Universe (or a new one, who knows). You can't make a BW3 with Mega Evolution because it's a separate Universe.
