I'm someone who doesn't hate Gen 6 (I still like it) but still has been critical about it.
I really wouldn't mind going back to Kalos. I have problems with Gen 6, but the region isn't one of them. Kalos is a cool enough region for me. If anything, going back to Kalos might redeem some if not most of my points against Gen 6.

Oahu is the island, Honolulu is the biggest city on the island. And Hawaii's capital.
Why they chose to make Honolulu the starting town instead of the Castelia/Lumiose of the region is beyond me.
