Compared to Lunaala Solgaleo is a little bland, Lunaala has stars on its body/wings, a crescent moon head, and a full moon in the center of it's chest alongside multiple star like ornaments on the wings. Meanwhile Solgaleo is just a white lion with muscles and nothing really representing the sun or space itself (aside from the face but Lunaala has the same thing). Design wise Lunaala is superior to Solgaleo.
I would've agreed with you OP, but it appears that the Sun ledgendary lacks originality as a design. Wheras the moon legendary is actually a refreshing design. I prefer the sun, but they really fucked up with the mascot here.

Moon's design is fucking awesome. Sun's design is great on the head but crap on the body. And same goes for the overall box artwork too, Sun's art is super static and boring, Moon's at least is a little interestingly composed.
