Why are Pokemon fans so impossible to please?
Kids don't know what they want

Our taste is so refined from nearly two decades with the franchise. It's hard being a mature adult that loves a franchise when the company in control of it panders to children.

Gamefreak stopped trying years ago. They even have other people draw pokemon for them, and they can't even pick good looking fakemon s m h.
Some people genuinely have idiotic ideas, some are legit criticisms of the franchise.
Even those with legit criticisms may also be really shitty at explaining what it is that they want exactly in a way that doesn't sound idiotic.

A number of reasons:
- Like most gamers they feel they're entitled
- Most fail to realize they've simply outgrown a franchise tailored to children
- Most are stuck on the nostalgia of earlier Pokemon
- A fair amount are probably autistic and take shit way too seriously
- And a lot are simply overly picky. They probably treat a lot of shit in their life like this.
I seriously don't see the issue some people are having with the newer mons. All 3 of the starters are cute/have simple designs that people clamber for. People will always bitch about the design of the legendaries anyway.
